UX REDESIGN: CUDONI

ROLE: UX DESIGNER

In a nutshell

I was brought in by Hex Digital to work on Cudoni’s overall user journey. In a short time frame, I needed to use best practice principles, competitor reviews and e-commerce knowledge to create a more usable and accessible journey. I initially went through the buyer journey to make some recommendations for feature improvements then continued to work on some of the key areas of the website as well as consulting on the overall look and feel of the new site.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

I put together the IA and went through this with the Cudoni developer before designing the new product listing pages and product pages. I proposed that this should be tree tested and validated, however that was out of scope for the time being.

PRODUCT LISTING

I redesigned the logic around the product listing pages to make it clearer, easier to navigate and so that it was easier to return and select other options for the user.

MY ACCOUNT

As in many C2c websites, the My Account section is not only where customers see their orders but where sellers see their sales, so I needed to design it to be flexible enough for both with the option to make the seller sections invisible to the user so as not to take away from important order information.

VALUATIONS

For Cudoni, the Valuation section is an important element which users found confusing. The business had a lot to communication but it was a lot of information to process which led to a lot of calls and a lot of drop off. So, instead of one long form, I designed it as a step by step process, like an onboarding, with clear markers along the way and simplified language.
